Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
What do I need to know?
The security of client data is paramount. PwC continues to invest to keep up with ever changing industry standards and expectations from our clients.
Connect security features include:
- Encryption at rest and in transit with a multi-tiered security infrastructure
- Client access control through strong password protection including complex passwords and enforced password changes every 90 days
- Connect access management includes the option to apply additional restrictions for requests/ documents including:
- restricting request access to only PwC administrators, request owners or requestees
- restricting response document downloading
- restricting reassignment of requests to request owners and requestees
Security reviews will be performed for the application and the hosting locations prior to any additional release. As with the current version of Connect, a security statement will be made available at the same time as the release.
Multi-Factor Authentication
Multi-factor authentication was implemented to further strengthen the security stance of PwC Connect. Now that multi-factor authentication is enabled, you will be required to authenticate via following steps in order to login. For example:
Step 1: Enter your username

Tip: Selecting ‘Remember me?’ will remember your username for subsequent logins. Please note that this option does not result in remembering your device. This can be done in Step 4 described below.
Step 2: Enter your password

Step 3: You will then be prompted to choose whether a one-time verification code will be sent to your registered email address or to a mobile phone via SMS or a phone call, if a phone number was previously registered.

Enter your one-time verification code:
Select ‘Need Help?’ in the password verification screen for further login assistance.
If you are unable to receive a one-time verification code to the phone number(s) listed, contact your PwC point of contact for further assistance.
While Connect is available with various browsers, the preferred web browser is Chrome. Please reach out to your PwC team with any further questions about Connect.
